Rharian Fields accepts both male and female clients from the age of 17 and a half years.

To increase the accessibility of our Eating Disorder Service, we accept referrals made by any health or social care professional as well as from the general public.

Once it has been agreed that you will be staying at Rharian Fields as an inpatient you will be given a copy of the Welcome Information Booklet that will tell you everything you need to know about the unit including what you need to bring with you as well as other important information about your stay.

Yes. Rharian Fields has nine, individually designed bedrooms all with their own en-suite facilities. Clients are encouraged to bring with them anything they wish to personalise their rooms such as photos.

We understand that family and friends can play an important role in recovery and so we do have visiting times which are detailed in the Welcome Booklet. We are aware that loved ones may have work commitments and so we can offer flexibility around these times if visits are arranged in advance however we do not allow visits during any protected treatment times.

In the evenings and at weekends we offer a range of social and recreational activities including film nights, cinema visits, bingo, pampering and trips out. We encourage our clients to put forward their ideas and produce a plan of recreational and social activities for the week in the Monday planning meeting.

Rharian Fields is a no smoking building however there are designated smoking areas. If you would like to stop smoking then our staff are trained to support you with this.

We understand your need to keep in touch with your life outside of the unit and we encourage contact with friends and family. We are happy for you to use your mobile phones and computers so long as this is done during your leisure time.

We understand that mealtimes may be very stressful for you. You will be supported in developing your own meal plans with our Dietician based upon her assessment of your nutritional needs. This will be discussed with you and a plan agreed. Any religious or ethical dietary requirements will be respected.
